About the Presidential Scholars Award
The Presidential Scholars Award for Valedictorians and Salutatorians is a merit-based scholarship accompanied by a one-time award for scholars to engaged in enrichment activities (see below for more details). If you are a high school guidance counselor, parent or student with questions about the scholarship and the nomination process, please visit Undergraduate Admissions.
The Presidential Scholars Enrichment Award fund of $2,500 can be used by a scholar to fund research, eligible study abroad costs, internship, public service and other enrichment activities during the scholar’s undergraduate career at UConn. If are a Presidential Scholar, please review this site carefully. It provides detailed information about eligible activities and the application process.
If you will be applying for an enrichment award, allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing. In other words, please apply at least a month before the activity begins!
